Following each new symposium, the talks will be archived on the website, so the website will become the main hub for information on the University of York’s research and collaboration on whistleblowing.


Whistleblowing: from Evidence to Change

Was held on Friday 13 November 2:00-3:30pm (UK time)


This symposium explored the importance of whistleblowing in uncovering wrongdoing, it discussed the case for a new independent whistleblower protection agency, and the use of research to inform legislative reform and achieve societal change.


APPG Vice-Chair Kevin Hollinrake MP discussed Whistleblowing and business.


The symposium also explored:

  • Whistleblowing and research a session delivered by Ian Foxley.

  • Whistleblower protection around the world delivered by Prof Vandekerckhove and

  • Reform of the Public Interest Disclosure Act delivered by Dr Whitford MP
